Robert Lee Leichliter, Uniontown, Pa.
Robert Lee Leichliter, born April 21, 1961 passed away in his home on September 18, 2025.
Robert was the son of Luther Earl Leichliter and Dorothy M. Strothers Leichliter. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Earl “Bud” Leichliter, and Bill Leichliter and his sisters, Leona “Noni” Martin, Barbara Nicklow, and Dorothy Leichliter.
Left to cherish his memory are his son, Robert Leichliter (Jennifer); daughter, Christina (Robert) May, and son, Greg Thomas, and his granddaughter Emilee May; his siblings, Wilma (Joe) Cole, James Leichliter, Raymond Leichliter, Mildred Montgomery, Chuck (Lucy) Leichliter, and Ella Mae Rigga; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Bob retired from the Canton Restaurant after over 40 years of employment.
He was an avid baseball card collector and especially loved the Pittsburgh Penguins and the Pittsburgh Pirates. He played softball in the Speedway League and the Coolspring League. Bob also loved fishing and was a member of Amvets Post #103 in Hopwood. He also loved seeing the band “The Stymies” and ‘Proof Positive.”
The family will receive friends and family in the Bethel Baptist Church, 998 N Gallatin Ave Extension, Uniontown, Pa. on Sunday, October 19, 2025 at 5:00 p.m. when a Memorial Service will be held with Pastor Bryan Kelley officiating with a Celebration of Life Dinner to follow in the church fellowship hall. Those attending are asked to wear your Penguin, Pirate, or other ‘Black and Gold” gear to honor Bob’s favorite teams.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations to offset funeral costs to Robert Leichliter Memorial Fund, 134 West Church Street, Fairchance, Pa.
