Robert A. “Bob” Jenkins, Smithfield, Pa.

     Robert A. “Bob” Jenkins, 73 of Smithfield, Pa. passed away peacefully at home with his loving family by his side on Monday evening, February 26, 2024.

     He was born January 30, 1951 in Uniontown, Pa.

     Preceding him in death were his parent, Arlen and Aritta Smitley Jenkins; sister, Juanita “Need” Jenkins; sister and brother-in-law, Shirley and Jesse Cummings; daughter, Robbi Jenkins and his loving companion of 29 years, Betsy Mechling.

     Surviving are his two daughters, Bobbi Jo Friend and Heather Jenkins; grandchildren, Ronnie, Mariah and Chris, and Xavier; great grandchildren, Mercer, and Carson on the way; Hannah, just like a granddaughter;  his loving pets and best friends, Lucy and Calli; brother, Rex Jenkins and Mary; several nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews and many friends.

     Bob was loved by family, he loved them all and loved being around his family, along with being outdoors doing things, gardening and old cars.

     He worked for Wayne and Wilma Gail Reese at Reese Supply and Gun Store for over 30 years.

     The family will receive friends and family in the Dean C. Whitmarsh Funeral Home, 134 West Church Street, Fairchance, Pa. on Thursday from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. and on Friday, March 1, 2024 from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. The Funeral Service will begin at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Michael Lyons officiating.

     Interment will follow in Mount Moriah Baptist Cemetery, Smithfield, Pa.

     A special thank you is extended to the staff and nurses of Amedisys Hospice Uniontown, especially Sara, Amanda, Rhianon and Denise for all of the loving care given to Bob.
