Sherry (Angelo) Chipps

Sherry Chipps, Greensboro, Pa.

     Sherry Chipps, “Buggs” “Granny”, 73 of Greensboro, Greene County, Pa., passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, January 8, 2026.

     She was born July 4, 1952 in Uniontown, Pa.

     Preceding her in death were her parents, Sullivan and Violet Angelo Jr.; a sister and two brothers.

     Surviving are her husband of 54 years, Russell Chipps Sr.; five children, Kimberly Hall, Angela Chipps, Christina Orsky and husband John, Carrie Wolfe and husband Charles, and Russell Chipps Jr. and wife Ashley; nine grandchildren, Aaron, Joshua, Daniel, Andrew, Miranda, Hannah, Nathaniel, Katelynn, and Russell III; twenty-one great grandchildren; five sisters, Pastor Rose Bircher, Thelma Hagner, Clarice Angelo, Candice Angelo, and Tammy Angelo; five brothers, Sullivan Angelo III, Anthony Angelo, David Angelo, Danny Angelo, and Christopher and many nieces and nephews.

     The family will receive friends and family in the Smithfield Apostolic Church, 108 Morgantown Street, Smithfield, Pa. on Thursday, January 15th from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and on Friday, January 16, 2026 from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. the hour of service with Rev. Dustin Shroyer officiating. Interment in Cedar Grove Cemetery, New Geneva, Pa.
