Shirley E. Matlick, Smithfield, Pa.

      Shirley E. Matlick, 96 of Smithfield, Pa. passed away on Tuesday, March 25, 2025.

     She was born January 23, 1929 in Wharton Township, Pa.

     Shirley was predeceased by her parents, Herbert and Margaret Fike; husband, Ralph Eugene Matlick; sons, Ralph Matlick and Earnest Matlick; daughter, Maxine Matlick; brother, Dale Fike; sisters, Beulah Lyngvar and Patricia Carter; son-in-law, Bud E. Burnworth and grandchildren, Timothy Matlick, Bud Burnworth Jr., Jerry Burnworth and Denise Belanger.

     Surviving are her daughter, Eileen Sue Burnworth; daughter-in-law, Marlen Matlick; grandchildren, Shirley Guthrie and Dannie Thompson, Lisa Morrison and husband Todd, Matthew Burnworth and wife Julie, Alan Matlick, Teddy Burnworth and Anna Mae Belanger; numerous great grandchildren; sister, Lillian Albright; numerous nieces and nephews; her loving grand dog Rusty and a special friend, Sonny Pules.

     She loved reading her Bible.

     The family will receive friends and family in the Dean C. Whitmarsh Funeral Home, 134 West Church Street, Fairchance, Pa. on Friday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. and on Saturday, March 29, 2025 from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. The Funeral Service begins at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Steve Popson officiating. Interment will follow in Thomas Cemetery at Salem, Preston County, W. Va.
