     Sonny Edward Ashton, 47 of Uniontown, Pa. passed away on Friday, January 23, 2026.

     He was born January 21, 1979 in Uniontown, Pa.

     Preceding him in death were his mother, Carolyn Ashton and two siblings, Marianne Bolyard and Lawrence Strakey.

     Surviving are his father, Weldon Ashton Jr.; siblings, Kenneth Starkey, Michelle and Joseph Ross, Weldon Ashton and Pauline Shaffer, Amanda Ashton, Melissa and Neal Morgan, Florence Ashton and Kenny Sarver, and Alicia Ashton; several nieces and nephews and two sons, Weldon Ashton and Sonny Ashton.

     The family will receive friends and family in the Dean C. Whitmarsh Funeral Home, 134 West Church Street, Fairchance, Pa. on Monday, February 2, 2026 from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m.

     In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Sonny Ashton Memorial Fund, 134 West Church Street, Fairchance, Pa. 15436.
