Stanley Guzik Jr., Smithfield, Pa.
Stanley Guzik Jr. of Smithfield, Pa. passed away at home with family, on January 12, 2025. He was a lifelong resident of Smithfield for over 70 years, where he resided with his wife Faye.
He was born September 27, 1933 and is the son of the late Stanley and Kathryn Bertovich Guzik. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother John Guzik of Fairchance, Pa. and his son Mark Guzik of Smithfield, Pa.
Surviving are his wife of 70 years, Alice Faye Guzik; daughter, Marcy Guzik of Smithfield, Pa. and daughter Joy Guzik of Fairmont, W.Va. He also has a son-in-law, Vince Crow of Smithfield; three grandchildren, Jason Guzik of Rices Landing, Pa., Stephanie Snider of Kings Beach, Ca. and Aaron Dalzell of Weston, W.Va. and three cherished great grandchildren Zoe, Finnley, and Gwyneth.
Stanley was a hard working stone mason most of his life, and shares the trade with his brothers Paul of Fairchance, Pa. and Joe of Erie, Pa. He also has a much loved sister, Mary Ann from Black Lick, Pa., whom which he shares a special bond from his childhood days.
Stanley was a dedicated Veteran, and took pride of his service in the U.S.Army and served during the Korean Conflict. He worked as aa mechanic while stationed in Augsburg, Germany, where he made many friends whom which he remained close with throughout his life. Stanley enjoyed nature, feeding the birds, and gardening. Most of all, he loved taking drives in his truck and stopping to visit with his many cherished friends. Stanley was respected by many for his loyalty, knowledge and humorous wit. His humble smile and bright blue eyes will be missed by many.

The family will receive friends and family in the Dean C. Whitmarsh Funeral Home, 134 West Church Street, Fairchance, Pa. on Wednesday from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. and on Thursday, January 16, 2025 from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. The Funeral Service will begin at 11:00 a.m. with Mr. Bob Guzik officiating. Interment will follow in Mount Moriah Baptist Cemetery with Military Rites being accorded by General Marshall Amvets Post 103.
