Villa Mae Maust, Adah, Pa.
Villa Mae Maust, 86 of Adah, Pa. passed away on Friday, September 27, 2019 at home surrounded by her loving family after a long and valiant battle with Congestive Heart Failure and Diabetes.
She was born June 18, 1933 in Saltlick Township, Pa., the daughter of the late Harry Edward and Florence Ella (Brown) Spiker.
Villa was predeceased by her parents; her husband, Harry William Maust Sr.; two sons, Harry W. “Skeeter” and Curtis D. “Shorty” Maust; five sisters, Winifred B. Cropp, Frances E. Spiker, Ruth L. Swaney, June M. Marosco and Mary Lou Spiker of Uniontown, Pa. and two brothers, Harry E. and Earl L. Spiker.
Villa is survived by sons, Warren E. Spiker of Abilene, Texas, Alex H. Spiker of Adah, Pa., Richard A. Maust of Haydentown, Pa., Earl Maust and Roy Duke both of Uniontown, Pa.; daughters, Florence E. Workman of Clanton, Alabama, Villa M. “Susie” Bryner of New Salem, Pa., Joyce L. Braxton of Uniontown, Pa. Connie A. Wilson of Haydentown, Pa.; 20 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; 9 great great grandchildren; four sisters, Eleanor J. Maust of Uniontown, Pa., Margaret A. Teets of Uniontown, Pa., Sandy S. Ross of Uniontown, Pa. and Bonnie L. Spiker of Uniontown, Pa.; two brothers, Waldon E. and Robert C. Spiker of Uniontown, Pa. and many nieces and nephews.
She was employed as a Caregiver for the elderly and ill at Quality Life Services, formerly known as Henry Clay Villa in Markleysburg, Pa. and Simmons Healthcare Agency in Uniontown, Pa. for a total of 20 years before retiring at the age of 75 to be the primary caregiver for her son Curtis until his passing.
The family will greet friends and family in the Dean C. Whitmarsh Funeral Home, 134 West Church Street, Fairchance, Pa. on Monday, September 30, 2019 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. and on Tuesday, October 1, 2019 from 10 to 11:00 a.m. The Funeral Service will begin at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend David McElroy officiating.
Interment will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, Fairchance, Pa.
