Wayne P. Swaney, Fairchance, Pa.

     Wayne P. Swaney, 81 of Fairchance, Pa. passed away with his loving family by his side on Wednesday, February 11, 2026.

     He was born September 6, 1944 in Uniontown, Pa..

     Preceding him in death were his parents, William “Blackie” and Alice Cooley Swaney; daughter, Christine Swaney and his wife of 60 years, Darlene Swaney.

     Surviving are two children, Gary Swaney and his wife Mary, and Jamie Haines and her husband Terry; two grandchildren, Lauren Swaney and Emily Haines; two sisters, Charlotte Miller and Florence Lilley; his very close uncle, Jerry Swaney; several nieces and nephews and his loving dog Ginger.

     Wayne loved to golf, play cards and drive his corvette around.

     He drove school bus for Albert Gallatin School District for thirty-two years until his retirement.

     The family will receive friends in the Dean C. Whitmarsh Funeral Home, 134 West Church Street, Fairchance, Pa. on Monday, February 16, 2026 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
