William Wilfred McFadden Jr., Fairchance, Pa.
William Wilfred McFadden, Jr. passed away peacefully awaiting the awakening of his Saviour Jesus Christ, at the age of 81 at Uniontown Hospital on January 10, 2025. He was born on June 5, 1943 to William and Pearl McFadden of Crystal Works, Gans, PA; but raised and loved dearly by Russell and Anna Guthrie, his grandparents, of Fairchance, PA. In addition to his grandparents and parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 62 years, Betty Jean, son Ray and siblings: Russell McFadden and Jane Lenhart.
William was an entrepreneur, heavy equipment operator and lime-stone driller in his lifetime. He even worked for Lakeview Country Club as a bartender and handyman in his younger years. William enjoyed hunting, fishing, flea market trips with his wife, son Will and flea market helper and adopted son Jimmy Smith, and taking motorcycle trips to Canada with this sons and friends. More than life, William loved his wife and children.
William is survived by his children: Tammy and husband Douglas Allison, William (Will) and his wife Tonya, Jean and her husband Terry Robatin, Julie and her husband David Rutter and the granddaughter he raised since 6 months old, Chassie Ann and her husband Rick Adams. He was loved by the following grandchildren and then great-grandchildren: William McFadden, IV, Kayla McFadden, Terry Robatin and wife Piper, Jerry Kissinger III and wife Rachel, Leah Kissinger and fiancée Kurt Strininger, Tiffany Firmstone and husband Travis, David Rutter and wife Kristen, William’s adopted grandson, Jimmy Smith, Olivia and Lexi McFadden and Ryan McFadden. His great-grandchildren include: Shayla McFadden, Elijah and Noah Robatin, LilahRaye Adams, Gabriel Kissinger, Colin, Violet and Graham Firmstone and David Rutter, III. William was the oldest of four siblings and is survived by his sister Rita Wolfe of Gans, PA.
Since the death of his wife on July 21, 2024, William spent his days and nights reminding his children how much he loved them and sought peace and solace through Jesus Christ. Jesus granted him his wish for a peaceful death and the opportunity to be with his beloved once more. William asked for a private service with just his immediate family. The private viewing and funeral services will be held at the Dean C. Whitmarsh Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 14, 2025. Interment will follow where he will be laid to rest next to his wife and son, at the Fairview Cemetery in Dilliner, PA.
