ZOEY MERCEDES BAUGHMAN MORGAN From Fannettsburg, PA, passed away suddenly on Sunday July 27th 2025, at the age of 20. She was born on October 21st 2004 in Uniontown, PA.
Preceding her in death was Alyssia Mercedes Morgan (Cousin), Alan Leedy (Grandfather), Wayne Bowman Jr. (Grandfather), and several great grandparents.
She is survived by her mother, Tina Morgan, and stepfather, Wayne Bowman, as well as, her poppa Tony Leedy, father Michael Baughman and stepmother Dawn Cornish. Zoey leaves behind her maternal grandparents Timothy (Al) and Nancy Morgan, paternal grandmothers Deborah Geiger and Pamela Leedy, a great grandmother, Carol Brown, her brothers, Michael Baughman, Wayne (Bubba) Bowman, Courtney Leedy, and Caleb Baughman, her sisters Charlie Bowman, Alyssa Bowman, Makayla (Mickey) Baughman and Dezaray (Bugga) Baughman, her aunts Stephanie Morgan, Billie Jo Shaffer, Jennifer Reda, Nikki Geiger, Tammy Leedy and Uncle Doron Geiger; 2 nieces, Layken and Hadley Jo Leedy; her boyfriend Cole Jeffreys, and a community of friends and family who loved and cherished her. Her memory will live on through the countless memories and moments we shared with her.
Zoey attended Fannet-Metal H.S. where she participated in cheerleading, and in 2022, graduated from Agora Cyber School. She planned on furthering her education in the medical field, which aligned with her passion for taking care of others. Prior to her passing, her caring and loving nature led her to Angels On Call, where she held a caregiver position. She deeply loved and cared for her clients.
Her loving and caring nature did not end with her loved ones and clients. She carried that throughout every aspect in her life, including her love of animals. Her love for animals brought immense joy to her life. She adored her furry friends, from her dogs Riley and Ruger, to her collection of chickens and baby cows. Zoey had a love for music, whether it be singing or dancing, as well.
She enjoyed late night food runs, hanging out with friends, family gatherings, and late night drives.
Zoey was loving, passionate, and generous in all aspects of her life. If you were fortunate enough to call Zoey your friend or family, you knew there was nothing she wouldn’t do for you. Zoey loved with her whole heart, was so forgiving, and her infectious smile and sparkling eyes lit up any room she walked in. That beautiful presence will truly be missed by all who were blessed enough to know her.
A celebration of Zoey's life will be held on Saturday, August 2, 2025 at 4:00 p.m. with Pastor Charlie O”Brien officiating with a visitation time with family and friends from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m.
An additional celebration of Zoey's life will be held at a later date to be announced at Grand Point Church in Chambersburg, Pa.
Rest in peace our sweet angel. Your memory will forever be in our hearts.
