About Us

Dean C. Whitmarsh, a lifelong resident of Fairchance has owned and operated the funeral home for the past 27 years, but the funeral home has been licensed and operating for 113 consecutive years. The original owner and operator was Rufus L. Sharp, who operated the Sharp Funeral Home from June 11, 1913, until March 1948.

Robert D. Wagner and J. Woodrow Cooley operated the business as the Wagner-Cooley Funeral Home until November 1982.

Larry Lescar and Robert Markutsa ran the business as the Lescar-Markutsa Funeral Home until January 1989, when Dean C. Whitmarsh took over.
