Message from Ina Mae

Just arrived home from attending Sam's funeral. It did my heart good to see what a loved
man he was. He and his family were always special to our family. He loved my family as if
we were very special , could not ask for anything more. I am sure that our Lord will have a
lot of chores for him. Sam, will become a legend of our oral history. Today has made me weepy for my Mom and Dad.

Sam, I'm so glad to have known you.. You and I were friends for 40 years or so.. I used to enjoy drinking the raw milk that you sold at your dairy.. I purchased that delicious sweet corn from you for lots of seasons... (No sweeter corn in Fayette Co.) I always enjoyed our chats, also.. You were my friend, Sam and you will remain in my memory..! May the Good Lord take you one day to spend eternity with Him.! In the meantime, R.I.P. Samuel Foster Wood.! From your friend, Lloyd

Without being persuaded to work on the wood reunion committee, I would have never gotten to know this man my cousin Sam wood. I am so grateful to have gotten to know him and learn so much about our family history and genealogy. his stories will forever be embedded into my soul.

As a bird free of its cage seeks the heights so does the Christian Soul fly home to God in death. I will surely miss you cousin Sam your legacy will live on in my heart
